I purchased a sheet set and extra set of pillowcases in July 2021. I have hated them since the first time I made my bed with them. They are so thin you can see the design on the mattress pad underneath them. They slide around and come loose every night. No matter how well tucked the corners of the fitted sheet are, they slide off after a few nights. I alternate between this set and a different one and it makes me angry every day when I make my bed how terrible these sheets are. My husband, who would be comfortable sleeping on just about anything, even hates these sheets. I know true Frette is higher quality because I have other Frette linens, but I would never buy another product from them again because I feel like I was completely scammed by Frette putting its name on this product (and all the influencers it paid to post positive reviews when this line launched).

The marketing, presentation, and packaging are great... the quality of the sheets however are not nearly close to a hotel style experience, unfortunately.
Frette is leveraging brand its name and equity to sell a cheaper quality product. Now I know why the thread count question is artfully not answered on the website.

On our website we don’t refer to thread count because the quality of the linens depends on several factors and we don’t want to oversimplify. In case it's helpful, please see the below excerpt from our FAQ section on the site:
"Thread count is the number of horizontal and vertical threads per square inch, and is indication of breathability, not of softness or quality. The higher the thread count, the closer the weave of the threads, the less airflow. Cotton sateen typically has a higher thread count than cotton percale, which is why sleeping in sateen feels cozier and warmer, while in percale cooler. The smooth and silky feel of the fabric is a result of the finishing process, rather than thread count."
